Job board: EV financiers top this week's recruitment

Mobility asset financiers have dominated this week’s hiring activity, accounting for 30% of the 23 new job postings tracked by Mobility Rising. Financing firms such as M-Kopa, Mogo, and Watu Africa contributed seven of these roles, with M-Kopa leading the vacancies with five new openings. The positions are concentrated in Kenya and Uganda.

  • East Africa leads with 15 listings, followed by West Africa with four, while Southern and North Africa posted three and one respectively. M-Kopa, BasiGo, and Dodai are this week’s top recruiters.

  • There is a growing demand for IT roles in e-mobility, especially in data science and software development. As EV fleets expand, companies like BasiGo and Shift EV are hiring Lead Data Scientists and Control System Leads to support vehicle tracking, telematics, and intelligent energy management systems.
